Blog Post #3

In this movie clip, the author's purpose is to open his teams eyes to help change the team mentality and to inspire a change amongst them all. He is trying to convince his team to come together as one team and work together as a team before they can learn to play the game. In my opinion, yes, this is an effective argument. The coaches goal is to change the overall mood of his team to help boost team moral. Another goal is to change the teams mindset to become more open minded of the players on the team and become more of a family rather than a group of men. His actions prove that by showing his team that others have fought for their right to play ball, they owe it to those who lost there lives to come together and show respect for the sport. This argument is in the values and choice tense. They need to value what others have done both on and off the field. Also that they need to make the  come together as a team in order to progress.
